About Me

My photo
Fred Braakman
Sherwood Park, Alberta Canada, Canada
I have always had a great interest in art and photography, and over the last ten years or so I have focussed on photography, in particular landscape photography. For a few years I played with film photography, and then expanded my interest to digital photography, while still maintaining my interest in film. Now I have the time to also focus on my painting skills, which I definitely need to improve. My main focus in painting is watercolour. There are several painters that I admire: Robert Genn has been a favorite of mine for decades, as well as Brent Laycock. Recently I became acquainted with some terrific watercolour artists: Steven Quiller, Alvaro Castagnet, Keiko Tanabe, and Joseph Zbukvic.
